How this all started
Davie Fogerty was born in Australia, in 1994. He belonged to a middle-class family. From the start Davie wanted to become an entrepreneur, at 16 in school he started his journey by selling biscuits, but the idea failed quickly.

Davie himself admits that, from the beginning, he is obsessed with the idea of becoming a millionaire. After a couple of failed side hustles, he applied during his high school.
Davie moves to the street side hustles. He tried selling all kinds of things from headphones to iPhone cases. He set up a street roll shop which failed. During this Davie dropout from college.
As you can see above, the one thing Davie loves is selling products.
His whole experience revolves around it. Following that, he also worked in social media marketing and started several failed ventures, such as a seasoning business and a single company.
But all these failures never kill his motivation or passion for business, it’s the opposite.
His luck started shining when he entered the world of e-commerce. The thing that takes him toward selling online is:
His failed seasoning business
His strong IG profile, where he sells fitness products
The great thing I personally love about Davie is, he gives everything a chance. Although he failed several times, instead of leaving, he learned and moved forward.
And this is entrepreneurship.
Idea and its creation
After many failures in online and offline selling businesses.
In 2018, Davie established a company named Calming Blanket, which marked the beginning of his remarkable path. It was his first legitimate online store and brand.

The brand grew huge under Davie, he achieved $4.5 million in revenue in its first 12 months and well over $1 million in profit. In the second year, he made over $2.5 million in profit.
But how did this brilliant idea come to Davie?
With the collapse of the Vietnamese roll shop (one of his food startups), he started learning e-commerce. After so many failures, Davie tries his best to never give up on achieving his dream to build and own his business.
So, he was trying to find the ideal item for his new brand. And one day he saw a Facebook post about the benefits of weighted blankets for those who suffer from sleeplessness or sensory issues.

Those who are into e-commerce business know this fact, that the whole e-commerce business runs on 3 important things:
Your Marketing
Your Product
Your Credibility
So, after selecting the above product, he tested it out. So, he ended up ordering some stock from China. He initially had 400 clients for his large company.
On the first day, he made $200, and in the first week, he made a $1000 profit. And he ended up scaling making a $1.5M profit in its first year.

So after experimenting and claiming blankets, he launched his brand name The Oodie. Then came the Boom. This brand took him from earning $1.5 million to tens of millions.
